Trevor's Grumbly Tummy

Trevor's weight, width and height equalled one sugar grain, 
In a bourbon he lived, on Cinnamon Lane.
Though that may sound peculiar he didn't complain, 
After all, a rich-tea house would be far too plain.

Now Trevor's pyjamas he wore all day through,
No need for a change as companions were few.
But nightclothes at daytime looked scruffy, he knew,
So on his small head sat a small top-hat too.

His bourbon was home to all manner of stuff,
His favourite things being his jars full of fluff.
And if he tried hard, with a huff and a puff, 
He could reach the top shelf, when lucky enough.

On chocolate chip pancakes he'd chomp once awake, 
For lunch, brunch and dinner, fresh muffins he'd bake.
At supper-time Trevor would munch fudgy cake, 
And finish the day with a smooth brownie shake.

One day, a fat slice of chocolate-fudge crumble, 
caused Trevor's tummy to moan, groan and grumble.
It got so upset Trevor near took a tumble, 
His legs went quite strange and his head was a jumble!

As brash as a furnace it let out a roar,
And bubbled like waves rolling in at the shore.
Then just as it groaned like an old cupboard door,
The pain I'm afraid Trevor couldn't ignore!

To Ned's cabbage house Trevor ran right away, 
His tummy was glum and was causing dismay!
A carrot Ned fetched, on a pepper-skin tray, 
And how Trevor feasted without a delay!

Once lunch had been crunched, Trevor breathed out a sigh,
The grumbles had vanished! Asked Ned "May I pry?"
"Whenever dear Trevor did veg you last try?"
"Well... never,' squeaked Trevor - cried Ned, 'My my my!"

"That grumbling tummy's not happy one bit,
This vegetable absence has left it unfit!
Put lettuce and beetroots and carrots in it, 
For one tartlet more and your jim-jams will split!"

Nearby sat Tony (his home was a plum),
Who heard Trevor's tale and then smiled at his chum.
He brought out an apple and gave Trevor some,
Which softened the groaning of Trevor's poor tum.

"It's lonely," spoke Tony "Of fruit - I'll admit,
Those chocolatey foods have annoyed it a bit! 
Why, blueberries and kiwis will soon settle it,
But one doughnut more and your jim-jams will split!"

Outside his kidney bean house Kenny sat,
His story to whom Trevor told in their chat.
When creamy cheese Kenny shared, scrummy and fat,
His tummy stopped moaning in five seconds flat!

Spoke Kenny, "Friend Trevor, just hold on a tick!
You intake no protein? No wonder you're sick!
Taste steak, nuts or spinach leaves, they'll do the trick! 
But one milkshake more and your jim-jams will split!"

Just then Trevor's tummy felt awful again,
It wiggled some, wobbled and sputtered, and when,
Three cartwheels it did, (poor Trevor did ten!)
He worried he might be exploding! AND THEN...

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRP!!!!!!

In shock, fear and silence the chums had to wait,
'Til Finally Trevor exclaimed "I feel... GREAT!!
Friends! 'Til the end you'll be thanked by your mate, 
Through varied new dishes he now can create!"

SCRUMPTIOUS the recipes were, to be fair!
The bounties of which Trevor's friends got to share!
(Of course on occasion there'd be some days where,
He'd chomp on fudge crumble, but just here and there!)

For Trevor's new favourites are vegetable bake, 
Tangerine trifle and mushroom stuffed steak.
And now his health's boosted, no sweat does he break,
When reaching his jars full of fluff - Piece of cake!
